ABOUT
My name is Tiana Reimann, I am 29 years old, and I live in Kimbe, West New Britain Province, Papua New Guinea. Since I was two months old, I have lived in PNG, immersing myself in its diverse cultures and tribes, building close relationships, and being initiated into local clans. I have photographed the natural world since age nine, focusing on macro insect and underwater photography, and have worked professionally for over ten years capturing nature, portraiture, weddings, events, and journalism in both PNG and Australia.

My work in tourism has allowed me to explore remote communities rarely seen by outsiders. My photography has been featured in hotels, magazines such as the national airline inflight magazine Paradise Magazine, and my self-published book The Walk in the Garden, which combines macrophotography with inspirational reflections. I was also a finalist in the portrait category of the 2017 Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year. My recent work focuses on a photobook about New Britain, highlighting its natural beauty and raising awareness about environmental challenges.

I now focus on cultural preservation, documenting people and places previously unrecorded. With lifelong ties to the region, deep understanding of the land, and trusted relationships with communities, I am uniquely positioned to capture these stories authentically, creating a lasting record of cultures and traditions at risk of disappearing.
